Waiting…

Saturday, November 1, 2014

Yesterday was a super-windy day.  If we had tried to spray, I’m not sure the herbicide would land in Indiana!  Today, it’s a bit less windy, but still too much to get the sprayer going for fall-applied herbicide.

The 4730 sprayer waits patiently in the warm shop for some days suitable for fall spraying. Perhaps next week?

The post-harvest clean-up is slowly progressing:  so far the grain cart, corn heads and platforms are cleaned.  Still waiting for warmer days are the combines.  Those have been ‘dry cleaned’, but really need a good washing!

At least it’s sunny today, even though the wind reinforces the chill.
