Here are some pictures of the beautiful soybean harvest day we had yesterday at the Burke farm.  John took these with the Phantom 2 drone and attached GoPro Hero3+

Tuesday was a beautiful day.

It's hard to describe just how dusty the conditions are around the combines!

We also have some video taken yesterday, but it will take some time before we can get it edited down and posted on YouTube.   Maybe during the next rainy spell.

The weather forecast is for 10+days of warm and dry weather…perfect for soybean harvest.  Almost all the beans are ‘ready’ now for the combines.  Only the July-replanted beans remain green, and there are <25 acres of those.

We have a French guest coming in Sunday night.  He wants to experience corn and soybean harvest with us.  We are looking forward to his arrival.

I love the photos! When I read one of your previous posts I thought to myself that I hoped they would take aerials of the harvest. Thanks 🙂

Thank you, Savannah, for your kind remarks. John is developing some considerable skills with the drone. The video is terrific, but it will take some time to edit it down, add some sound track, and get it posted to YouTube. Thanks for reading the farm website.
      Have a great day.
