This morning we’re preparing the grain cart, combines, headers, and trucks to go to the soybean field. While it’s damp from dew, we’re fueling up the machines, and cleaning air filters. We are also doing the 50-hour lubrication on the combines and headers–typically a Monday-morning task. We’ll be moving to the Downen farm southeast of Wheatland, and we should be able to work there and Holscher, Burke, and VanVleet for a few days. The weather forecast is favorable for the week.
Some scenes from the past couple days…

Working across the terraces at the Ross farm, the terraces present a challenge for a 40-foot header!
So far, so good.
