As I write this morning, I can smell the wonderful aroma of thanksgiving specialties from the kitchen. Roast turkey, mashed potatoes, corn casserole, roasted root vegetables, green beans, sage dressing, and a trio of pies are among the things that add their fragrance to the morning. This Thanksgiving will have some special limitations, with Pat and me in quarantine (it will end on Saturday!). So, she prepares her tasty dishes ‘to go’ for some family members. We will sit down together at noon and enjoy this feast. It will be a special moment to enjoy and reflect and express gratitude.
Yes, there are many reasons to be thankful. So many, it is likely impossible to recall them all. But today we will try to ‘count our blessings’.
We hope this day is a good one for you, too.
Happy Thanksgiving!
