Last thing on the list

The last item on the list to get prepared for #harvest16 was to service the row unit gearboxes on the JD corn head.  That was performed this afternoon.

Parked in front of the shop, the S680 holds the 612C corn head to be serviced.

Brandon and John check the oil level in each row's gearbox. Each one checked out okay. If the oil level was low, they would add special JD "Corn Head Grease" to fill the gearbox to proper level.

It sure was hot this afternoon.  We spent a big part of the day cleaning the F-150, and then waxing it.  When that was done, we got in Pat’s Edge, and washed and waxed it.  Now, those two vehicles are ready for the winter.

This Ford Edge may be 5 years old, but it shines like new today!

Wax on... wax off... all that is required is a little elbow grease.

Looks like we will be starting harvest next week, probably in soybeans.   Exciting days ahead!
