Final touches

We are putting the final touches on the preparation for #plant16.  We made sure the FieldView Drives are set up and connected, and those appear to be ready.  We will reconnect the JD 9330 to the 1910 air cart and 1890 NT drill, and calibrate the seed meters.  The goal is to take the planters to the field on Monday!  Who knows… if all goes well, I may plant the Mailbox field (23 acres) this evening!

Fieldview Cab (Beta) connected to Fieldview Drive by Bluetooth. In the 9330 cab, ready for planting soybeans. You can see the Mailbox field, where I hope to plant first.

John is cleaning out the JD 4730 sprayer, rinsing out the tank and boom to prepare to spray corn herbicides.  This afternoon, he will finish with the last field of nitrogen application.    He will begin Monday with spraying corn acres just ahead of the corn planter.   The MX 290 and CIH 1250 corn planter are filled and ready to go.  Seems like the plan is falling into place.

We still have some fields too soft to spray.  White River is flooding again, so the levee repair at Nellie is on hold.

We are grateful for the warmer temperatures, and eager to get some seeds in the soil!

I’d predict the whole neighborhood will spring into action with planters come Monday.
