Looking good

Thursday, July 3, 2014

We visited all the DCB (double-crop soybeans) yesterday, and found them to be coming along very nicely.  Seems to be a good ‘stand’ almost everywhere, and they are growing fast.

A pretty uniform stand of soybeans is emerging from the wheat stubble. This is another place where I appreciate the 10" rows.

The planted acre reports were made at the local FSA and crop insurance offices today.

It’s a cool day for July 3, and we’ll probably have the coolest 4th ever.  The temperature is hovering at about 70 today, and low 70s predicted for the holiday.  We send you our best greeting for a safe and happy Independence Day!

Happy Birthday, USA!
