It was a beautiful weather day, and so very c0mfortable to share with a couple visitors. Don Patton, Evansville, Indiana and his daughter June from Boston came to the farm for a visit today. It was June’s first time here, and she seemed fascinated by everything we had to show her. It is always a pleasure for us to share about our farm, and it is extra-special for us to have someone who really wants to learn about the what and why of what we do.

Don and June Patton got a ride and drive experience in a John Deere today. It was a pleasure to have them visit us.
We were able to enjoy a special lunch prepared by Pat, and then John took special care to explain many details about the machines and how they work. Brandon gave them a tour of the horse barn. We hope that June and Don go home with a greater appreciation for Indiana agriculture, and for our lifestyle here on the farm.
Our connection to Don and June is through our sons’ (John and Ben) high school basketball coach, Joe Patton. Joe is Don’s youngest son, and June is Joe’s sister. We struck up a friendship with them during our sons’ playing days, and we’ve been fortunate enough to keep that relationship going. June is a Purdue grad and an educator in Concord, Massachusetts. She has been following this farm website, so she came already pretty well versed. Don is a retired engineer, but admits he always had a dream to be a farmer. We hope their day on the farm was to their liking!
