Thunder

May 16, 2013

I was working at the Freddie farm, our most distant location, when a 10 am thunderstorm drove me from the field.  My early start would have allowed me to finish that location by tonight.  I did get a tick over 50 acres planted.

By noon, the guage here at the farm read 1.46 inches, but it seems like more when it comes so very fast.  Looks like no more planting until next week.  I hope that this storm does not cause some acres to drown out.  But, if it does, we can replant as soon as it allows.

The Freddie farm was working pretty well, too.

By dark, the guage showed 2.24 inches or 57mm.  Whew!  There was some erosion damage done today.
