Check

Friday, April 21, 2017

Ross finished off planting the corn crop yesterday, just before a slight rain hit.  I was planting soybeans in a nearby field, and the little rain caused me to pause planting for about 2 hours.  I returned to planting in the evening.  As of today, about 50% the soybeans are planted.

Today, Ross checked on the first corn field he planted, and it is spiking through the soil!

Can you see the little corn plants standing in their rows?

I got one field of soybeans planted today before the sprinkles turned into a little heavier rain.

Rain is predicted for tonight and tomorrow, some calling for heavy rain.  We will wait and see what happens.

But, in any event, the corn is done (Ross says, “At least for the first time!”) and the soybeans are about half done.  Pretty good for April 21st.
