It is always a happy day when a new machine arrives here. Today we took delivery of a new zero-turn mower, a JD Z970R. We used it a little bit this afternoon, to grind up some down leaves, and blow them out of the yard. Seems like this new mower has plenty of horsepower. It travels pretty fast, too. This replaced our former Exmark Lazer mower.
Brandon took two loads of soybeans to ADM at Newburgh, IN today. Seems like we just get a better price to deliver beans to the Ohio River, about 80 minutes south of us. He got to test out the new tarp and unloading system we installed on that trailer last week. He says it works pretty slick!
We are missing the warm days we had last week, and today’s temperature was a little below the seasonal average. Rain is predicted for tomorrow, with sunshine to return for Thanksgiving Day.
Rhoda was in Indy today for a medical procedure, but thankfully, she is back home this evening. All seemed to go well for her. Ben is home for the holiday….another reason to be thankful!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone…try to keep that attitude all year long.
