While re-filling the soybean air drill today, we performed an inspection on the drill part of the planter. Brandon thoroughly checked each of the 60 planting units across the drill as he was pumping grease into the closing wheel arm bearings. He discovered 4 broken closing wheel springs, and one tab spring that holds tension of the boot against the opener disc. So, we had to put some elbow grease into the machine this morning, and replace some of the broken parts.

Refilling the back 200- bushel tank on the 1910 air cart. We use our old orange 10-wheeler to supply seed to the drill.
The drill is now filled and repaired and ready to return to planting soybeans as soon as the soil conditions allow. Hopefully, that will be soon.
