We had a large family gathering in Cleveland, Ohio over the weekend to celebrate the wedding of our nephew and new niece Luke and Marissa Hobson. It was a fun time together with the extended family, and to visit with some of the nieces and nephews we rarely get to see. And we made some new friends with Marissa’s family; we found them to be warm and friendly and kind.
Ross and Rhoda and John and Ashley made the trip also, and we had a great time together with our sister Sheila and her family. Luke is John and Sheila’s younger son. But we also got to spend some time with Craig and Marly Hobson, and their daughters Lena and Campbell, and Chris and Jenny Green and their children Eleanor and Paul. What fun!

Many cousins, together for the first time. Eleanor Green with Molly Carnahan, Lena and Campbell Hobson, and Paul Green.

The dinner and dance party were terrific, lasting well into the evening. Ross and Rhoda left around 9 pm, and drove back home. Pat and I departed the party for our hotel about 10 pm, and the rest of the celebration lasted until midnight.
As my brother-in-law John said, “It’s not farm work all the time!”
What a beautiful bride and so happy for Luke. The family is beautiful and what a wonderful occasion to be together. The photos say it all. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Renee… we had a joy-filled time together to celebrate this special day. Looking forward to seeing you in early December!
We enjoyed the blog entry! Glad everyone had a great time, because we did too. It was wonderful meeting Luke’s family and we look forward to seeing you all in the future. Luke and Marissa make a wonderful couple! (Mike and Marcy Mukavetz, parents of Marissa and your friends from Ohio!),
Thank you, Mike and Marcy. Your hospitality was wonderful. So happy for Marissa and Luke. You new farmer-friends from southwest Indiana, Dennis and Pat
