Yesterday afternoon/evening, the planters finally got going! Both the corn and soybean planters had some initial issues, but the bugs worked out quickly.

The JD 9330 tractor with the 1910/1890 no-till air drill rolls into the first field of ’15. I soon discovered a mud-dauber’s nest (wasp) that had plugged one of the seed tubes. Thankful for blockage monitor!

Ross enters the first field of corn planting for 2015. The C-IH MX 290 and 24-row 1250 planter is ready to go.
Now, this morning, we discovered an overnight rain! It was only about .1″ (2mm), so we should get back to planting later today.
So typical for spring 2015… work one day, then a rain delay….
Patience…
