UAV video, first attempt

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

Here is one of our first attempts to make a video using the Phantom 2 UAV (drone) with an attached GoPro Hero3+ camera.  If you have 4 minutes, you can see how the UAV rookies are trying to figure out how/what to do.  We were surprised at how crisp and clear was the picture quality of the camera.  We’re hoping this thing will improve our ability to scout bigger fields next summer.  And I hope to get some nifty pictures of field operations for our YouTube site.

We have several other videos posted at our YouTube site…click on the link above, or the YouTube icon at the upper right of this page.

Today, I’ll be going to Jasper, Indiana to have a shoulder replacement done.  They tell me it’s outpatient stuff, so we’re hoping it goes well.  There’s been a lot of jokes about ‘bionic man’.  I’ll probably get tired of the rehab, but that’s a very important part of getting this new shoulder to work successfully.  Your prayers are appreciated.
