We were making progress today, with the combines and with the planting of double-crop soybeans (DCB).  But at 3pm, the dark sky opened up the floodgates and in just a few minutes we received .4″ (10mm) rain.

While planting DCB at the Dunn farm ( and just 15 minutes from being done!), the rain came and stopped the progress.

This stopped the field work.  Probably we can return tomorrow afternoon.
