End-of-week report:
About 40% of the corn is planted as well as 20% of the soybeans. All the soybean acres have had their pre-plant herbicide treatment. The newly-enlarged Burke farm is one of the locations that is planted with corn… and the riparian strip along Kessinger Ditch has been planted to fescue to protect it.
We await the rain that is predicted for today and the next several days to see how that will affect our planting and spraying plan. We anticipate conservation construction at Lett and Watjen midweek.
I think I’ll add a couple photos of the soybean planter.

It’s long from front to back, and it takes lots of end-rows to have enough room to turn this baby around. JD 9330 tractor, 1910 air cart, and 1890 no-till drill.
Today’s day of rest will be welcome!
Have a great Sunday…
