The rain event over the weekend brought us 3.7″ of rain as measured here, but stories of rain gauges nearby were 4 and 5+” The Roberson and Kessinger ditches were overflowing as we drove to church yesterday morning. It will take some time for the soils to firm after this event. And it is cool, about 47ºF right now. But the good news is that the sun is brightly shining this morning! The dryer is getting ‘fired up’ again. And we will be sending some corn to market today. So, even if field operations are stalled, there are still tasks to do!
