The sun is shining today.  Ross wants us to go finish the wheat this afternoon.  Not really looking forward to that… the mud will be bad.  We will make ruts in the field, and it will take a long time for the grain cart to unload at a remote location about 1/2 mile away.  And it will leave some mud on the road.  Yucky, but I can understand his emphasis on getting the wheat out.  The quality will be diminishing, and the weather forecast is not favorable after today.

ugh.

Looking down the farm’s driveway this morning, you can see the corn is developing pretty well. And now it’s tall enough that you cannot see over it to view the drowned-out spots!

Here is a more close up of the corn along the farm lane.  Nice!

Here is a shot of the Cox farm soybeans. At the far end of the field, you can make out the 12-15 acres that were killed in the last flood event. Even so, the rest of the field is great.
