The weather has been so favorable (dry) in this new year that we are able to run the disk at Waldo (Jan 9) and the field cultivator at the Pond  (Jan 10) to smooth up the areas where drainage tile were installed weeks ago.  Rain is predicted for tonight, so it is great to use this little window of opportunity.

This is the Philip operating the disk at the Waldo farm. The disk is needed to chop the corn stalks as well as to smooth the ridges created by the tiling machine.

Here Philip operates the field cultivator at the Pond farm. Again, this operation will smooth the ridges and craters left by the installation of drainage tile. You can see the darker stripes where the tile was installed.
