Here at the end of the day, we can say that the replanted soybeans are now cut, and only the DC soybeans remain to harvest. They are not quite ripe or dry enough yet, and my estimate is one week from today. Tomorrow, John, Philip and I will be traveling to Ankeny, Iowa for a Gold Key event at the John Deere sprayer factory. Ross will be going to the Quarter Horse Congress event at Columbus, Ohio.
Shepards have moved in to begin tiling work, Mr. Worland is repairing a levee at the Nellie farm, and CPS is spreading P&K fertilizers for 2012. By week’s end, John will begin the fall herbicide applications.
We have moved the combines back home to wait out the week-or-so until we can go return to harvesting…
