We got started with #harvest25 yesterday. We went up to the Dunn farm, the first-planted corn fields. As we eased into the work, it went along fairly well on those steep hills. The yields were okay, not stellar, but pretty good for the location. Moisture levels were around 21.5%. There were not very many glitches to overcome, and the day went along okay. We ‘caught up’ to the dryer about dark, so we brought the combines back home (we were only 2 miles away anyway) and we set the corn heads back onto their carts. We intend to cut soybeans today, and for the next 4-5 days!

On the way out to the field yesterday morning, the combines will not be this clean again until after harvest!
Unloading the combine on-the-go…
Some loads of corn are being delivered to GPC at Washington, IN this morning.
So, today, we will begin late this morning, to harvest soybeans!
So far, so good. We are grateful for this 2025 crop.
