Still waiting…

Monday, July 2, 2018

There are a couple spots where I need to return and replant some soybeans.  Recent heavy rainfall has drowned those areas.  But upon latest inspection, water remains there, and I must wait for that to dry out. So, the air drill still is hooked up and ready to go, and whenever those spots dry out, those replants will get done.

It was a very warm weekend, but no rain.  Most of the corn is now in full tassel.  Today’s temp is predicted in the high 80s, so that should be more beneficial to the pollination currently occurring.

The bush hog will get hooked back up today, and I’ll get that going.  It’s time to clean up the appearance of the waterways, filter strips, and roadsides.

Have a great week.
