The CIH 8230 is all clean, and has been parked away for winter.  Brandon finished it off this morning.

Brandon washed inside the shop today, because it was quite cool (48F) this morning.

Yesterday afternoon, John used the water trailer to wash down the ‘interior’ surfaces of the JD S680 combine.  Now, today, all that it will need is for its outer ‘skin’ to be washed.

Here, the left side of the S680 combine is all clean. Now to wash the outer panels.

The washing of the 680 has begun. Once the outer skin is scrubbed and rinsed, the combine will be put away for the winter.

This should finish off the after-harvest clean up.  It will feel good to have the machines all shiny again.  They do collect some dust as they sit idle in the shed in the off season.  Late next summer, they will come out and be washed down again before going to the harvest field of 2017.

Now, we dig deeper in the planning stages of the 2017 corn and soybean crops.  We manage the year-end tax planning details of 2016, and facilitate the important details and choices of 2017’s seed, fertility, and pest control.  Even though the press of the harvest is now behind us, there are many decisions on our plate to end this year, and engage into the next!
