Tire rotation

Tuesday, January 12, 2016

This is the day when the tires on the JD 9330 tractor get rearranged.  The front tires get moved to the back, and vice versa.  This helps make more uniform the tires’ wear, and  it shares some of the stubble damage that front tires receive.  Ray came from Hutsons to provide some expertise in making the switch.  These Michelin AgriBib tires have lots more life left in them!   The size?  620/70 R 42.

The RF tires are removed, and now the RR tires are coming off

With the right side complete, the tractor got turned around and the left side switch was made.  With this task complete, the 9330 was moved back out into the storage (unheated)  building.

This snowy and very windy day makes us grateful to have this heated shop space to do these kinds of jobs during the winter.

One more task to mark off the ‘to-d0’ list…
