Last week we received a gentle 1.2″ rain. It was a happy thing, and now we are looking forward to the next rain event. Funny how it can get dry pretty quick. No, the crops are not moisture-stressed, and we don’t have the excess like out in the great plains. When you check the Weather Channel app this morning, the prospects for a rain are pretty good — there is rain in the forecast locally for the next 9 days! While we would not prefer that rain every day, if we can accumulate an inch to an inch and a half over that time, it would be perfect! The average temperatures in the mid to high 80s are helpful, too.
In other news, the bush-hog work continues. We are MT of 2014 grain. The last of the old crop corn has been delivered. Have a great weekend, and keep cool out there!
