Another rain

Thursday, April 16, 2015

Overnight, we received another .55″ (15mm) rain.   Had we missed the rain, we planned to begin applying our corn crop nitrogen today.  We also had plans to continue spraying soybean ground today at Burke, VanVleet, and Holscher.   And we would have gone to our seed dealer to bring home a truckload of soybean seed.

None of that will happen on this drizzly day.

We do have over 500 acres of bean ground sprayed, and now that’s ready for the planter…. that is, as soon as the soil is warmer and the surface is dry.

Baby steps in spring of 2015.
