After a very beautiful, warm and sunny Easter Sunday, it’s a gray, cloudy, damp Monday morning. There’s a chill in the air. The puddles on the ground look like we got some rain overnight, but it wasn’t much. The weather forecast for the week is not favorable… rain predicted tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! Our machines sit quietly waiting for their turn in the fields.
We must be patient. One glance at the calendar tells us that it would be nice to be planting corn and soybeans. But the weather will dictate the way we execute our plans. When the conditions get right, we’ll get after it.
My morning devotional reading reminded me that we should remain thankful in all situations. And that’s right; there is much for which to express gratitude. A little perspective today–the things that matter forever are still A-OK.
