If you’ve been a follower of this website, you may have noticed a gap in recent postings. Yes, Pat and I have been away from the farm since Thanksgiving, returning last night. We visited friends and family in Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia. We also met up with John, Ashley and Ella for a week at Disney World. What a special treat to have some time there with our granddaughter and see WDW through the eyes of a 2-year-old!
We enjoyed our time down south very much. It was quite hot when we arrived there, but became cooler as the days went by. The nights late last week got down into the low 40sF. Brrrr! But we just put on our coats and hats and kept going!

No, it’s not a big green hat… it’s the big Christmas tree at Epcot. And notice our heavy sweatshirts came in handy, too.
Arriving back in the office today, I met a mountain of mail/paperwork.

Here is the mail (well, most of it… the farm business mail is on the desk) that greeted our return to the farm.
Brandon has been delivering some corn to market on the contracts to GPC while we were away. There were checks to take to the bank! Maybe by tomorrow evening, I’ll have given all this stuff the attention it needs.
It’s a gloomy, gray December day in southwest Indiana, but we are still happy to be “back home again in Indiana”! (when we crossed the Ohio River last evening, we sang the song– a family tradition when we come back home after a trip)
