Company’s comin’

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

We are eager for the arrival of special visitors for the weekend.  Pat’s brother Raymond Klein from Los Angeles is coming with his 2 daughters Sofia and Mila for a farm visit.  Unfortunately, Raymond’s wife Sandra cannot come with them this time.  She is busy with her work as Editor on the TV show Brooklyn 9-9.   We will miss her, but we understand the demands of seasonal work!

These dear family members really have had no experience on a working grain farm, so we are especially pleased they are investing the time and energy to come and visit us.  We certainly will enjoy their company–anytime we can be together, Raymond and his girls make things interesting and fun.   It’s a chance to share the story of agriculture in SW Indiana, and catch up on their exciting lives at the same time!  We hope the weather continues to cooperate so that they can really experience our normal autumn life.  The forecast shows rain on Thursday and Friday!

Soybean harvest continues apace… with the excellent weather, we can make definitive progress each day.  Yields are above average so far, and that adds to the enjoyment.
