More green paint

Yesterday morning, John and I traveled to Ireland, Indiana to the Wright-Stemle JD dealership to see our new S680 combine that had arrived there.  This combine was the focus of our recent Gold Key visit at Moline.  Now that it was fully assembled, it was delivered to the dealer.  It was fresh off the truck the previous day, and it still needs some set-up work in advance of being delivered to the farm.  We climbed inside the cab to check out the new features.   Looks like there will be another ‘learning curve’ to get fully acquainted with the operation of this S680.  But I’m the kind of guy that reads the owner’s manual, and tries to figure out the features from that method.

All the S680s tires are Michelins, but the rear ones are bigger than I anticipated. I expected a 600 width, and this one has 750s.

Here's the identifying sign of our Gold Key visit a couple weeks ago... sequence number 5575...still attached to the front window.

There are some details that remain to the set-up on the combine before it can be delivered to the farm.  But, hopefully, it will arrive here in a week or two.  Does it seem like an early Christmas present?
