After a quick drive around the remaining unplanted fields this morning, I think that I can plant some soybeans today, and then go again on Wednesday to finish up almost everything that is left undone.  Ross tells me that he may be able to go over that last 10-acre spot today that still needs some corn.  Corn in June?  Not our preference, but we remain optimistic.

Planting season has stretched out for much longer than we would hope for, but I must say that the fields that have already been planted look very good.  I saw some soybeans emerging this morning that were planted last Wednesday.  You know, it won’t be very many more days, and we will be asking for some rain! 

I’m also thinking that we will have wheat to harvest two weeks from today.
