Quiet day…

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

It’s a quiet day at Carnahan & Sons.  John is home with their new baby Molly.  Brandon is away at the National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) in Louisville, Kentucky.  So, there is nothing really major happening here today.  The sky is a brilliant, cloudless blue, and the wind is low.  We are expecting near 40ºF (4C) today, but in the teens tonight.  We had a couple days near 60º, but the cold of winter has returned.  There has not been much snowfall in this new year.

Jake from Montgomery Welding did come this morning to evaluate a modification we would like him to build on the unload system of our big Bin 10A.

I took some time this morning to put a fresh wash job on the new pickup.  It wasn’t filthy, but the road grime from the last rainy spell was showing.

First wash job, in our shop. It' took a little longer than usual, for I was essentially doing this one-handed. I don't have full use of my left shoulder just yet...

I am using this slow day to do some office work, and catch up on some reading.

The girls’ basketball tournament has started in Indiana.  Our Lady Spartans from South Knox play their first tourney game this Friday evening.

We are also looking forward to traveling to Purdue on Sunday for the Boilermakers’ game with Nebraska.

Have a good Wednesday.
